What is Headlight?

Headlight is a transportation management and route optimization platform designed for distributors that operate private fleets and also handle third-party freight. It connects directly with your ERP to automate routing, dispatching, and delivery visibility, and handles multi-stop routing with particular ease.

How do I log in?

Each client has a unique login URL. If you don’t have one and expect one, click here to get in touch with your customer representative—they can help you get set up.

Who should I contact if I can’t log in?

Reach out to your company’s Headlight administrator or email support@headlightsolutions.com.

Routing & Dispatch

Can Headlight automatically generate routes?

Yes. Headlight builds optimized routes based on your delivery windows, truck capacities, and product compatibility rules. Users can also make manual adjustments as needed.

Can I assign a driver or truck to a route manually?

Absolutely. You can drag and drop drivers or vehicles within the Dispatch Board to manually adjust assignments.

Does Headlight support multi-stop routes?

Yes. Routes can include multiple stops, with sequencing optimized for drive time, delivery windows, or custom rules your team defines.

Support & Administration

How do I reset my password?

Click “Forgot Password?” on the login page or contact your system administrator.

Who should I contact for support?

Email support@headlightsolutions.com or use the “Help” link inside the Headlight dashboard.

How often is Headlight updated?

We release regular updates with new features and performance improvements, typically every few weeks.

Tracking & Visibility

How can I track where my trucks are?

Drivers using the Headlight Mobile App automatically share GPS location updates. You can view live progress, stop completion, and ETAs in real time.

Can customers see delivery status?

Yes, customers can view delivery status if this feature has been enabled by you for those customers.

Orders & Data

How do I import my orders into Headlight?

Headlight syncs automatically with your ERP. Depending on your system, orders may be imported in real time or through a scheduled batch.

What happens if my ERP changes?

No problem—Headlight supports multiple ERP integrations. We’ll work with your IT team to ensure a smooth transition.

Can I export shipment or delivery data?

Yes. Reports can be downloaded in Excel or CSV format from the Reporting module.

Mobile App

How do drivers use the app?

Drivers log in, view their daily route, mark stops complete, capture signatures or photos, and record delivery notes—all from the app.

Does the app work on iOS and Android?

Yes. The Headlight Mobile App is available on both the App Store and Google Play.
